Who you are

You are an experienced attorney with a strong background in contract negotiation, particularly within the healthcare sector. You have a deep understanding of the complexities involved in advising hospitals, large healthcare systems, or physician groups, and you excel in overseeing intricate contracting processes. Your expertise allows you to navigate vendor and payer-side agreements effectively, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with market access and pricing issues related to Medicaid and Medicare.

You possess a proven track record in leading and managing the negotiation and execution of external client contracts, particularly focusing on Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Your ability to provide strategic compliance advice to commercial operations and relevant functional areas sets you apart as a key player in the organization.

Your experience includes reviewing, drafting, and consulting on a variety of agreements, including consulting agreements, supply and distribution agreements, and market access-related contracts. You are adept at acting as a legal advisor to marketing, regulatory, and medical teams, ensuring that all advertising and promotional content complies with statutory and regulatory requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to negotiate agreements with wholesalers and other stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the negotiation and execution of contracts with healthcare vendors, ensuring that all agreements align with the organization's strategic goals. You will provide compliance advice that emphasizes market access and pricing strategies, particularly in relation to Medicaid and Medicare. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and drafting a wide range of agreements, ensuring that they meet legal and regulatory standards while also supporting the organization's operational needs.

You will collaborate with various teams, including marketing and regulatory, to ensure that all content and agreements comply with applicable laws and regulations. Your expertise in managed care will be crucial in influencing supply chain management and specialty pharma contracting. You will also play a vital role in guiding the organization through complex contracting processes, ensuring that all agreements are executed efficiently and effectively.
