Who you are
You are a seasoned sales leader with a strong background in retail management — you understand the intricacies of both digital and physical sales environments and have a proven track record of driving revenue growth. With 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, you possess the ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and success in achieving sales objectives.
You have a deep understanding of retail dynamics — you know what makes products and brands stand out in competitive environments, and you can execute plans that resonate with both retailers and consumers. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to navigate complex agreements and foster strong relationships with retail partners. You are data-driven, using analytics to inform your decisions and optimize sales performance.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the P&L for Axon's retail channel, driving strategy and expanding the company's footprint into major national retailers. You will study your retail partners in great depth, understanding their goals and building tailored programs to meet sales objectives while fulfilling retailer expectations. You will act as a bridge between the brand and the customer, ensuring that sales strategies align with legal and financial considerations. Your responsibilities will include managing forecast accuracy, negotiating complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and fostering a culture of transparency and high performance within your team.
You will lead initiatives that enhance the customer experience and drive sales growth, collaborating with marketing and product teams to ensure that retail strategies are effectively communicated and executed. Your role will require approximately 50% travel to meet with retail partners and attend industry events, allowing you to stay connected with market trends and customer needs. You will also mentor and develop your sales team, instilling a sense of ownership and accountability in achieving sales targets.
