Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in life sciences R&D and complex software systems, ideally with 5+ years of experience in technical consulting or solutions architecture. You are skilled in understanding customer needs and translating them into technical solutions that drive scientific progress. Your expertise in modern SaaS technologies and cloud-based integrations allows you to effectively collaborate with both customer developers and internal engineering teams. You are adept at scoping end user requirements and designing solutions that ensure successful delivery of custom automation and integration solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance scientific research.
Desirable
Experience with Benchling's R&D Cloud or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with the biotechnology industry and its specific challenges will help you excel in this role. You are a strong communicator, capable of engaging with IT professionals and stakeholders at various levels. A background in project management or agile methodologies will also be beneficial.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead technical consulting engagements with IT professionals at the forefront of biotechnology. You will assess their IT landscape, including scientific and informatics software, and recommend how Benchling can enable their informatics vision. You will design, prototype, and oversee the delivery of cloud-based integrations that align with customer needs. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively and meet the desired outcomes. You will also provide ongoing support and guidance to customers, helping them maximize the value of Benchling's solutions. Your role will involve staying updated on industry trends and advancements in biotechnology to continuously improve the services offered.
