Who you are

You have a strong background in life sciences R&D and complex software systems — your experience allows you to serve as a key technical partner to both customers and internal engineering teams. You are adept at understanding customer requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions that drive scientific progress. Your expertise in modern SaaS technologies and integration solutions enables you to ensure successful implementation within complex IT ecosystems.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with IT professionals and developers in the biotechnology field. Your ability to lead technical consulting engagements means you can recommend how Benchling can best enable their informatics vision. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for scoping end-user requirements, ensuring that the solutions you design are both impactful and practical.

Your experience with cloud-based integrations and automation solutions is extensive — you have a proven track record of overseeing the delivery of these solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of Benchling users. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Desirable

Experience with Benchling's R&D Cloud is a plus, as is familiarity with scientific/informatics software and instruments. You are comfortable navigating complex IT landscapes and can adapt to the evolving needs of the biotechnology sector.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead technical consulting engagements with IT professionals at the forefront of biotechnology. You will work to understand their IT landscape and recommend how Benchling can enable their informatics vision. Your responsibilities will include designing, prototyping, and overseeing the delivery of cloud-based integrations that enhance the capabilities of Benchling's R&D Cloud.

You will be responsible for scoping end-user requirements and ensuring the successful delivery of custom automation and integration solutions. This involves collaborating with customer developers and IT leaders to ensure that the solutions you design are not only technically sound but also aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.

You will also engage in continuous learning and adaptation, keeping up with the latest trends in biotechnology and software integration. Your role will require you to be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the solutions you provide.
