BigCommerce is hiring a Director of Enterprise Sales to drive the execution of their sales strategy for large merchant acquisition. This role requires strong leadership and sales expertise in the e-commerce sector.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in enterprise sales, ideally within the e-commerce or technology sectors — your experience includes leading sales teams and developing strategies that drive growth and customer acquisition. You understand the complexities of selling to large enterprises and have the ability to navigate these challenges effectively.

Your leadership style is collaborative and empowering — you believe in building strong teams and fostering an environment where sales professionals can thrive. You are skilled at mentoring and developing talent, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet their targets and grow in their careers.

You are data-driven and results-oriented — you leverage analytics to inform your sales strategies and make decisions that enhance performance. Your ability to analyze market trends and customer needs allows you to position your offerings effectively against competitors.

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you can articulate the value of your solutions to diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to C-suite executives. Your ability to build relationships is key to your success in enterprise sales.

What you'll do

As the Director of Enterprise Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for large merchant acquisition — you will lead a team of sales professionals, guiding them to achieve their targets and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on messaging and offerings.

You will analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies — your insights will help shape the direction of the sales team and the overall approach to enterprise clients. You will also be involved in high-level negotiations and closing deals with key accounts, ensuring that BigCommerce's solutions meet their needs.

Collaboration is key in this role — you will partner with other departments to enhance the customer experience and ensure successful onboarding and implementation of our platform for new clients. You will also be responsible for reporting on sales performance and providing updates to senior leadership.
