Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in business development or sales, ideally within the startup ecosystem β you understand the dynamics of working with venture capitalists and high-growth founders. Your ability to build trusted relationships is second nature, and you thrive in environments where collaboration and networking are key to success. You are passionate about helping startups succeed and have a keen understanding of their unique challenges and opportunities.
You possess excellent communication skills β whether you are hosting events or engaging in one-on-one conversations, you know how to convey Brex's value proposition effectively. You are comfortable representing a brand and can articulate its mission and offerings to diverse audiences. Your experience in event planning and community engagement will help you create meaningful connections that resonate with the startup community.
You are results-driven and motivated by the opportunity to make a significant impact β you understand that your efforts directly contribute to Brex's growth and success in the startup space. You are adaptable and can navigate the fast-paced nature of the startup ecosystem, adjusting your strategies as needed to meet the evolving needs of your audience.
Desirable
Experience working with venture capital firms or within a startup environment is a plus. Familiarity with financial products and services, particularly those tailored for startups, will enhance your ability to connect with potential clients. A network of contacts within the startup and venture capital community will be beneficial as you work to expand Brex's reach.
What you'll do
As a Startups Ambassador at Brex, you will be the face of our brand in the startup ecosystem β your primary responsibility will be to build trusted relationships with top-tier VCs and high-growth founders. You will represent Brex in the market by hosting events, driving engagement, and creating meaningful connections that bring value to the startup community. Your main focus will be to grow Brexβs presence within key venture networks by actively participating in industry events and fostering relationships that lead to new opportunities.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that the needs of the startup community are understood and addressed β your insights will help shape Brex's offerings and marketing strategies. You will also be responsible for tracking engagement metrics and reporting on the effectiveness of your initiatives, ensuring that your efforts align with Brex's overall business objectives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence Brex's strategy in the startup space β your feedback and observations will be invaluable as we continue to refine our approach to serving this dynamic market. You will be encouraged to think creatively about how to engage with the startup community and identify new avenues for growth.
