Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, with experience in both farming and hunting sales strategies. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with partners is key to your success, and you thrive in unstructured environments where you can take initiative and lead projects. You are comfortable selling open source, cloud, virtualization, and technical software, and you understand the unique challenges and opportunities in these markets. You are a self-starter who is motivated by achieving growth quotas and driving business success. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience in channel sales or partnerships within the tech industry is a plus. Familiarity with Canonical's products, particularly Ubuntu, will help you connect with potential partners and customers more effectively. A background in working with public cloud providers or silicon manufacturers will also be beneficial.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and engaging reseller and distributor partners across North America. You will develop and execute strategies to grow Canonical's business within your assigned territory, ensuring that you meet or exceed your annual growth quotas. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align on strategy and execution, leveraging your understanding of the open source landscape to position Canonical's offerings effectively. You will also be expected to lead initiatives that drive partner engagement and satisfaction, ensuring that Canonical remains a preferred partner in the industry.
