You have a strong background in cloud technologies and open-source software, with experience working closely with engineering and product teams to drive technical initiatives. Your ability to navigate complex strategies and maintain relationships with cloud partners sets you apart. You understand the importance of aligning product requirements with delivery timelines, ensuring that all stakeholders are on the same page. You thrive in a remote work environment and are comfortable collaborating with diverse teams across different time zones.
Your technical expertise includes a deep understanding of Linux and cloud platforms, particularly AWS, which allows you to effectively integrate and optimize Ubuntu in various environments. You are passionate about open-source technologies and have a track record of successfully implementing solutions that meet customer needs. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable
Experience with public cloud providers and a solid understanding of their ecosystems will be beneficial. Familiarity with data science, AI, and IoT initiatives is a plus, as these areas are integral to Canonical's offerings. You are proactive in seeking out opportunities for collaboration and are always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience through innovative solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will act as the technical counterpart to Canonicalβs Cloud Alliance GTM Lead, driving joint initiatives with major public cloud providers. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and alliance teams to align on open-source strategies, ensuring that Canonicalβs product requirements are clear and that delivery is executed as planned. Your responsibilities will include maintaining relationships with engineering teams at cloud partners to optimize the integration of Ubuntu and other Canonical products.
You will also be involved in technical engagements that require a blend of technical expertise and commercial awareness. This means prioritizing the strategies of both Canonical and its cloud partners to achieve mutual goals. You will work closely with sales and product management teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that Canonical remains a leader in the open-source space.
