Who you are
You have over 7 years of experience in business development or product management, demonstrating success in major accounts. You are passionate about open source and can navigate complex technical challenges, learning quickly to architect solutions across global teams. Your ability to collaborate with product, engineering, alliance, and marketing teams is key to aligning on open-source strategies. You thrive in a remote work environment and are comfortable setting account strategies in major accounts, regions, or verticals.
You possess strong communication skills and can effectively capture partner requirements while evaluating gaps to identify opportunities for Canonical. Your experience allows you to coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans. You are adept at developing joint product roadmaps and driving delivery, ensuring robust product life-cycle support anchored to best-in-class Canonical products.
Desirable
Experience in the software industry, particularly with cloud and edge solutions, is a plus. Familiarity with AI offerings and their integration into existing products will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are a strategic thinker who can formulate go-to-market plans that enable differentiated offerings.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the Software Alliances team at Canonical, working closely with leading software companies to optimize their products with Ubuntu and other Canonical software. You will develop joint product roadmaps and drive delivery, ensuring that enterprises receive the benefits of open source, securely maintained, and validated solutions. Your responsibilities will include setting account strategies, collaborating with various teams to align on open-source strategies, and capturing partner requirements.
You will coordinate with marketing and product teams to create effective messaging and launch plans. Your role will challenge you to think differently and work smarter, as you will be tasked with navigating complex technical challenges and architecting solutions that meet the needs of major accounts. You will also be responsible for formulating processes that enable robust product life-cycle support.
