Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the public sector, and possess strong communication skills that allow you to connect with prospects effectively. Your experience includes managing the full sales cycle, from identifying leads to closing deals, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with teams across customer success, sales development, marketing, and solution architecture. You are comfortable developing tailored value propositions that align with customer needs and business goals, ensuring that you can articulate the value of Cohere's platform to potential clients. You understand the importance of customer-centric approaches and are eager to contribute to the growth of the company by owning your territory and driving sales initiatives.

Desirable

Experience in the AI or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with the needs and challenges faced by public sector clients. You are adaptable and can navigate complex sales processes, demonstrating resilience and a results-oriented mindset.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle, identifying leads and closing deals with Global 2000 enterprises in the US Public Sector. You will engage with prospects to uncover their needs and develop compelling value propositions that showcase how Cohere's platform can help them achieve their business objectives. You will collaborate with various teams, including customer success and marketing, to ensure a seamless experience for clients and to gather insights that will inform product development. Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders to provide feedback from the field, helping to prioritize the Cohere roadmap based on customer needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
