Overview

Confluent is seeking an Acquisition Account Executive to drive net-new customer acquisition for their data streaming platform. You'll leverage your consultative selling skills to build long-term value for new customers in an Enterprise territory. This role requires strong prospecting and deal execution skills.

Who you are

You are a motivated, growth-minded individual with a strong background in sales, particularly in driving customer acquisition. Your consultative selling skills allow you to uncover opportunities and solve real business problems for clients. You have experience owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and closing deals. You understand the importance of building long-term relationships with clients and are skilled at identifying their needs and aligning them with the solutions offered by Confluent's data streaming platform. You are comfortable working with diverse teams and appreciate the value of different perspectives in driving success.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector, particularly with data streaming or related fields, is a plus. Familiarity with enterprise sales processes and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets will set you apart. You are open to learning and growing within the company, and you embrace challenges as opportunities for development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the full sales cycle for net-new logos in your assigned Enterprise territory. This includes prospecting potential clients, conducting discovery sessions to understand their needs, designing tailored solutions, negotiating terms, and closing deals. You will proactively identify opportunities to introduce Confluent's leading data streaming platform to prospective clients, helping them understand how it can transform their data management processes.

You will leverage your strong prospecting skills to build a robust pipeline of potential customers. Engaging with clients will require you to conduct thorough research and prepare compelling presentations that highlight the unique value propositions of Confluent's offerings. You will also collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on messaging and strategy.

Your role will involve regular communication with clients to maintain relationships and ensure satisfaction post-sale. You will be responsible for tracking your sales activities and results, providing insights to the leadership team on market trends and customer feedback. As part of the New Logo Acquisition Team, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, sharing best practices and learning from your peers.
