Who you are

You are a motivated and growth-minded individual with a strong background in sales, particularly in the public sector. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with senior Account Executives to drive pipeline activities and close deals. Your consultative selling skills enable you to uncover opportunities and solve real business problems for customers. You are passionate about delivering value through innovative solutions and understand the importance of building long-term relationships with clients.

You have experience in finding and closing opportunities, ideally in technology sales, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Your ability to ask hard questions and provide honest feedback makes you a valuable team member. You are committed to continuous learning and growth, always seeking to improve your skills and knowledge in the field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner with senior Account Executives to manage Public Sector accounts, focusing on pipeline activities and closing opportunities up to $100K. You will identify new consumption workloads, known as Streaming Projects, to help customers maximize the value of Confluent's data streaming platform. Your responsibilities will include prospecting for new clients, conducting needs assessments, and presenting tailored solutions that address specific business challenges.

You will work closely with the account team to position Confluent's leading technology to new business units within strategic accounts. Your strong prospecting skills will be essential in uncovering opportunities and driving engagement with potential clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of your sales activities and progress in the company's CRM system, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
