Confluent is hiring a Solutions Engineer to drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales process. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful implementation of data streaming solutions. This role requires expertise in Kafka and Big Data technologies.

Who you are
You are a technical expert with a strong background in data streaming technologies, particularly Kafka. You have experience in providing technical guidance and support to customers, helping them design and implement effective data solutions. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to drive customer success.
You possess a deep understanding of the current state and future roadmap of Kafka in open source, enabling you to provide valuable insights to customers. Your problem-solving skills allow you to identify known issues and inform customers of upcoming fixes or workarounds. You are passionate about data and its potential to transform businesses, and you are eager to share that passion with others.
What you'll do
As a Solutions Engineer at Confluent, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, guiding them through the technical design and development of their end-to-end data streaming solutions. You will work closely with the sales team to articulate Confluent's technical and product positioning to a variety of stakeholders. Your role will involve conducting technical evaluations, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring that customers are well-informed about the capabilities of Confluent's platform.
You will collaborate with product management and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of Confluent's offerings. Your expertise in Kafka and Big Data will be crucial in helping customers leverage real-time data streams to enhance their operations and decision-making processes. You will also participate in community engagement, representing Confluent at industry events and contributing to discussions within the Kafka and Big Data communities.
