Who you are
You have previous experience as a Business Development Representative or Sales Development Representative in a similar or adjacent industry, which has equipped you with the skills to effectively manage lead pipelines and identify sales opportunities. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can maintain active engagement with both new and existing leads through strategic and personalized outreach. Your ability to document, map, and strategize using various details, including use cases and stakeholder processes, allows you to better understand how to prospect and find new opportunities in both new and existing accounts.
You are comfortable using Salesforce.com for lead management and sales forecasting, ensuring that your pipeline is always up-to-date. Your experience with other sales tools such as Outreach and ZoomInfo enhances your ability to engage with prospects effectively. You prioritize opportunities and apply appropriate internal resources to move accounts through the customer journey, ensuring timely follow-ups with all prospects.
What you'll do
As a Mid Market Business Development Representative at Contentful, you will play a crucial role in the growth of the company by managing our lead pipeline and identifying leads and sales opportunities. You will partner with two Mid-Market Account Executives who will assist in developing and sharpening your skills through consistent feedback. Your responsibilities will include refining our sales prospecting techniques and qualifying new incoming leads. You will achieve monthly and quarterly goals of qualified opportunities and meetings booked for the Account Executives, using a diverse set of tools to effectively research and communicate with our Ideal Customer Profile in the region.
You will document and strategize using various details, including use cases and stakeholder processes, to better understand how to prospect and find new opportunities. Your role will require you to maintain active engagement with leads through personalized outreach, ensuring that you follow up in a timely manner. You will be expected to contribute to the overall success of the sales team by effectively managing your pipeline and leveraging your skills to drive outbound activities.
