Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in sales, particularly in the realm of high-growth accounts, and you thrive on understanding complex products deeply. Your passion for selling technical solutions in the cloud is evident, and you have a proven track record of compressing decision cycles and penetrating accounts quickly. You are skilled in value selling methodologies and have experience with Open Source Technologies, which allows you to effectively communicate the value of your offerings to customers. Your background in big data, Cloud, or SaaS sales has equipped you with the insights needed to navigate the competitive landscape and meet the needs of your clients.
You are a creative salesperson with a well-defined prospecting motion, and you enjoy the challenge of closing net new logos while exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue targets. Your ability to engage with C-Level executives and practitioners alike demonstrates your versatility and understanding of various business levels. You are committed to building a successful plan both internally at Databricks and externally with your accounts, ensuring that you allocate resources effectively to break into new markets and grow existing relationships.
Desirable
Experience with data strategy and a strong understanding of how data impacts business outcomes will set you apart. Familiarity with accelerators and quota accomplishment strategies will also be beneficial in this role. You are someone who embraces a creative, fail-fast approach to selling, which aligns with the innovative culture at Databricks.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for selling to high-growth Retail accounts, where you will have a direct influence on the data strategy of some of the most disruptive companies today. You will regularly communicate account strategies to Databricks Senior Leadership, ensuring alignment and support for your initiatives. Your role will involve meeting with various stakeholders, from C-Level executives to practitioners, to understand how Databricks can make a significant impact on their business outcomes.
You will be tasked with exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue targets, utilizing your experience and creativity to drive sales. Your approach will be to build a comprehensive plan for success, both internally and externally, ensuring that you leverage Databricks resources effectively to penetrate new accounts and grow existing ones. You will also be expected to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs, adapting your strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
