Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of closing experience, particularly in field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of over $1 million, with an average deal size of $100,000 or more. Your ability to prospect and develop relationships with large commercial enterprises is a key strength, and you possess a deep understanding of customer business needs. You are driven and resourceful, able to navigate challenges that require creative solutions. You have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your focus will be on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by effectively selling the value and ROI of Datadog's solutions. Handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory will be crucial. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges and ensure that you have a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities.
