You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in hunting and closing net new logos — your experience has equipped you with the skills to strategically map out and break into accounts effectively. You are curious, motivated, and driven as a salesperson, always looking for ways to improve your approach and results. Your boldness in engaging with potential clients sets you apart, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can work closely with internal stakeholders to meet customer needs.
Desirable
While not mandatory, familiarity with tools such as Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg will give you an edge in this role. You understand the importance of building relationships and can convey the value of Datadog's products clearly to various stakeholders, including Chief Technology Officers and Engineering/IT Leaders.
What you'll do
As a Mid Market Account Executive, your primary focus will be on net-new logo acquisition — you will convert inbound leads into closed opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiations and on-site technical demonstrations. You will collaborate with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity, ensuring a steady stream of potential clients. Your role will involve leveraging various tools to identify and engage with key decision-makers, allowing you to tailor your approach to meet their unique needs.
You will be responsible for strategically prospecting into mid-to-large size markets, understanding the competitive landscape, and positioning Datadog's offerings effectively. Your ability to communicate the value of our products will be crucial in closing deals and contributing to the overall success of the Commercial Sales team.
