You have a proven track record in enterprise sales, particularly within the State, Local, and Education sectors — your experience has equipped you with the skills to navigate complex sales processes and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You are adept at understanding customer needs and can articulate the value of technology solutions effectively. Your passion for technology drives you to stay informed about industry trends and innovations, enabling you to provide valuable insights to your clients.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and understand the importance of teamwork in achieving sales goals — you enjoy sharing knowledge and strategies with your colleagues to foster a culture of success. Your ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing demonstrates your commitment to delivering value to both the customer and your organization. You are results-oriented and have a history of meeting or exceeding bold revenue targets.

Desirable

Experience working with cloud-based solutions or SaaS products is a plus, as is familiarity with sales methodologies that emphasize customer-centric approaches. You may have a background in technology sales or have worked with public sector clients, giving you an edge in understanding the unique challenges they face.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into State, Local, and Education organizations, running an efficient sales process that aligns with Datadog's best practices. You will maintain and build relationship maps for your territory, ensuring you have a comprehensive understanding of existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Developing a deep comprehension of your customers' businesses will be crucial as you tailor your sales approach to meet their specific needs.

You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with SLED enterprises, focusing on selling value and return on investment. Your ability to handle existing customer expectations will be key to maintaining long-term relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. As you work towards breaking into new accounts, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition for clients moving to the cloud.
