You have a proven track record in technology sales, particularly within the State, Local, and Education sectors. With at least 5 years of experience, you understand the unique challenges and opportunities in selling to public sector organizations. Your ability to build and maintain relationships is key — you know how to navigate complex sales processes and engage with various stakeholders effectively.

You are passionate about technology and its potential to solve real-world problems. You stay updated on industry trends and can articulate how Datadog's products can deliver value and ROI to customers. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to secure favorable terms while ensuring customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

As a Senior Strategic Account Executive at Datadog, you will prospect into large State, Local, and Education organizations, running an efficient sales process that aligns with the company's methodology. You will develop a deep understanding of your customers' businesses, identifying their unique needs and challenges. Your role will involve maintaining and building relationship maps for your territory, ensuring you have a clear view of existing relationships and aspirational contacts.

You will negotiate pricing and business terms with large SLED enterprises, focusing on selling value and demonstrating the ROI of Datadog's solutions. Your ability to convey the benefits of our products will be crucial in closing deals and achieving your revenue targets. You will also handle existing customer accounts, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and exploring opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Collaboration with other teams, including marketing and product development, will be essential as you work to align customer feedback with product offerings. You will participate in regular training and development sessions to enhance your skills and stay informed about new product features and industry trends.
