Who you are

You have extensive experience as an AV Technician, particularly in installation and project management. Your ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints sets you apart, allowing you to execute projects with precision and efficiency. You are skilled in using hand and power tools for various installation tasks, including soldering and termination of connectors such as XLR, RJ45, fiber-optic, and coaxial. Your experience includes fabricating AV racks with professional cable management, ensuring that installations are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

You thrive in dynamic environments and are physically fit, ready to meet the demands of a role that requires lifting and travel. Your strong communication skills enable you to act as a customer liaison on-site, ensuring that project scopes and directives are followed. You are adept at coordinating with other trades on-site, facilitating smooth operations and timely project completion.

Desirable

Experience with programming changes to DSPs or room processors is a plus, as is familiarity with configuring IP addressable devices for network communication. Your background may include working with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations, showcasing your attention to detail and commitment to quality.

What you'll do

In this role, you will perform installation tasks as outlined in the project’s Scope of Works (SOW), ensuring that all work meets the highest standards. You will support the Project Manager with site supervision, providing daily job site status updates and completing required documentation. Your responsibilities will include testing point-to-point cabling and the functionality of systems, as well as writing and editing code for DSP systems such as Biamp, Qsys, and Shure.

You will create, track, and complete project punchlists, ensuring that all tasks are addressed before project sign-off. Your role will also involve supporting L1 and L2 technicians, providing guidance and oversight as needed. As a Senior Lead AV Technician, you will be expected to travel nationally and occasionally internationally, making this a 100% travel position.
