You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in building relationships and closing deals. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with a transactional sales approach. Your ability to connect with local businesses and understand their needs is key to your success. You are adaptable and can manage your time effectively between in-field meetings and remote work. You are motivated by results and have a strong desire to contribute to the growth of DoorDash and its partners.
Desirable
Experience in the food delivery or restaurant industry is a plus, as is familiarity with SMB sales. You have a knack for negotiation and can effectively communicate the value of partnerships. A background in outside sales will help you excel in this role, as will your ability to travel within your assigned region.
What you'll do
As a Regional Merchant Lead, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals with local and regional restaurants. You will spend a significant portion of your time in the field, meeting with restaurant owners and pitching DoorDash's offerings. Your role will involve negotiating revenue share agreements and selling multi-product solutions tailored to the needs of each merchant. You will build strong relationships with your partners, helping them understand how collaborating with DoorDash can enhance their business operations and drive consumer growth.
You will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure that the onboarding process for new partners is smooth and effective. Your insights from the field will be valuable in shaping DoorDash's approach to merchant partnerships. You will participate in training sessions and team-building events, contributing to a positive team culture and sharing best practices with your colleagues.
