Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field such as Optics or Sensors. With at least 1 year of experience in a hardware engineering technical environment, you have a solid foundation in hardware validation processes and methodologies. You are familiar with Linux and have experience in networking, network troubleshooting, and failure diagnosis. Your technical skills extend to debugging and troubleshooting within data center server environments.

You may also have a Master's degree or PhD in a related field, which enhances your understanding of complex hardware systems. Your experience includes working within a data center or networking operation center, where you have gained insights into network design, protocols, and troubleshooting. You are comfortable reading and writing code in Python or other scripting languages, which aids in your ability to automate tasks and improve processes.

What you'll do

As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will make technical contributions under the guidance of managers on medium-scale design or validation projects. Your responsibilities will include implementing, testing, maintaining, and contributing to the design of multiple subsystems. You will prepare and provide various types of documentation, including concept designs, drawing markups, budgets, schedules, and design validation plans or results. Your role will involve applying standard tools and processes to solve defined problems within design projects, such as modifying existing designs.

You will coordinate interactions between labs and engineering teams, anticipating and resolving problems by applying your knowledge and skills. When necessary, you will escalate design, manufacturing, and product test issues to appropriate personnel within the organization. Additionally, you will generate implementation plans and provide technical expertise and guidance during deployment activities, ensuring that projects are completed successfully and efficiently.
