Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience in silicon validation, you bring expertise in bringing up, characterizing, and qualifying silicon. You also have 5 years of experience developing firmware, embedded software, or functional tests for silicon validation. Your familiarity with ASIC interfaces, memory systems, and power management system features makes you a strong candidate for this role.
You may hold a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture. Your background equips you to work on shaping the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration, particularly in developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's TPU technology.
What you'll do
In this role, you will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. You will leverage your design and verification expertise to verify complex digital designs, focusing specifically on TPU architecture and its integration within AI/ML-driven systems. You will be part of the CI2 Platform Enablement team, managing the end-to-end silicon life-cycle, including development, bringup, qualification, and long-term quality sustainability.
Your responsibilities will include performing long-term system characterization and debugging to root-cause failures, providing feedback to improve features like power management quality, performance, and reliability through generations of designs. You will design, develop, operate, and maintain software-based validation tests, ensuring that the silicon meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
