Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture within a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes managing, mentoring, or coaching a quota-carrying team, demonstrating your leadership capabilities. You have experience working with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and are well-versed in software lifecycles, building tools, and architecting scalable, distributed systems, particularly in the realms of data platforms and AI/ML.

You excel in engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders, tailoring your communication to suit different audiences. Your ability to ask strategic questions and lead conversations that drive business opportunities is a key strength. You understand the importance of customer satisfaction and are committed to facilitating productive, mobile, and collaborative work environments for clients.

What you'll do

As the Head of Customer Engineering, you will lead workload and opportunity review meetings, providing insights on achieving technical agreements and migration strategies. You will work directly with customers, partners, and prospects to resolve technical roadblocks, ensuring that their needs are met effectively. Your role will involve liaising with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay updated on industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

You will facilitate the onboarding of educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses to Google Cloud products, ensuring they derive maximum productivity from the solutions offered. Your leadership will be crucial in managing a team through sales processes, operations, and career development, including account mapping and performance management. You will also be responsible for problem-solving key technical issues for customers, collaborating cross-functionally across Google and with your team.
