With 8 years of experience in test engineering or product engineering, you are well-versed in the intricacies of silicon products. Your expertise includes Design for Test (DFT), hardware development, and post-silicon characterization, making you a valuable asset to any engineering team.

Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a focus on computer architecture. You have at least 3 years of experience leading silicon products, showcasing your ability to manage complex projects and drive results. Your familiarity with test hardware design and silicon qualification methods, such as High-Temperature Operating Life (HTOL) chambers, sets you apart in this competitive field.

You possess a strong understanding of Fault Isolation (FI), Failure Analysis (FA), and related IC and packaging failure mechanisms. Your experience in statistical data analysis using tools like JMP allows you to identify commonalities and abnormalities effectively. You are knowledgeable about Quality and Reliability (Q&R) guidelines and implementation techniques, ensuring that the products you work on meet the highest standards.

What you'll do

In this role, you will shape the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration by driving the development of custom silicon solutions that power Google's TPU technology. You will establish and lead pre-silicon to post-silicon correlation strategies, managing technical data exchange with foundries and IP vendors. Your responsibilities will include designing IP validation methodologies and managing the use of HVM lab equipment for complex IPs such as High-Speed SerDes, DDR/HBM, and System-Level Testing (SLT).

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the silicon products meet performance and reliability standards. Your leadership will guide the team in pushing boundaries and developing innovative solutions that address the demands of Google's most challenging AI/ML applications. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
