Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 8 years of experience in areas such as computer architecture, embedded firmware, or ASIC design, you are well-versed in hardware/software integration and debugging firmware. Your expertise includes RTL development and design verification, and you have experience leading cross-functional teams in digital systems.
A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a focus on computer architecture is preferred. You bring 5 years of experience with C++ and Python software design principles, and you have developed firmware for embedded systems or accelerators. As a tech lead, you have integrated hardware/software systems in accelerators and are proficient in debugging firmware using simulation tools or have a working knowledge of RTOS internals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will shape the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration by driving the integration of first and third-party IPs and developing hardware-validating firmware. You will execute HW-SW co-simulation strategies utilizing RTL simulation, emulation, and FPGA environments to streamline silicon validation. Your responsibilities will include designing microbenchmarks and detailed validation plans based on cross-functional design specifications to verify IP functionality and performance.
You will collaborate with a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's TPU technology. Your contributions will directly impact the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, and you will leverage your design and verification expertise to verify complex digital designs with a specific focus on TPU.
