Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting logistics operations. Your ability to build relationships with stakeholders or clients has been a key part of your success. You have a proven track record of identifying issues in processes and creating solutions, working with cross-functional teams to drive these changes. Your analytical skills are strong, as you have 5 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights to guide business decisions. Experience in data center logistics is a plus, as is managing operations across multiple locations simultaneously.

You excel in operations management, problem-solving, and managing third-party logistics vendor relationships. Your experience includes budget creation and cost management, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved, which drives your approach to logistics operations.

Desirable

An MBA or Master's degree would be beneficial, as would additional experience in data center logistics. Your ability to manage operations in multiple locations simultaneously will set you apart, as will your proactive approach to recognizing improvement opportunities in cost or quality of services.

What you'll do

As a Logistics Operations Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Your role will involve working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will coordinate efforts across various offices, time zones, and hemispheres, ensuring that all players are kept up to date on progress and deadlines.

You will manage relationships with multiple internal customers at data centers, recognizing improvement opportunities to the cost or quality of services provided. Your proactive approach will involve turning thoughts into documented business cases, presenting these cases to peers and management for approval, and providing ongoing project management to ensure successful implementation.
