Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: computer architecture, embedded firmware, ASIC design or verification, or the integration and enablement of first/third party IPs, you are well-prepared for this role. Your experience in hardware/software integration and validation is complemented by your knowledge of Register-Transfer Level (RTL) development and design verification. You are proficient in C++ and Python software design principles, with 4 years of experience in these languages. Additionally, you have experience integrating complex hardware/software systems in accelerators and developing firmware for embedded systems or accelerators. Your debugging skills using simulation tools are strong, and you possess knowledge of Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) internals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will shape the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration by driving cutting-edge TPU technology that powers Google's most demanding applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Design Verification (DV), Firmware, and Architecture to develop custom silicon solutions. Your responsibilities will include verifying complex digital designs with a specific focus on TPU architecture and its integration within AI/ML-driven systems. You will own debug discussions with Design/DV/Software/Architecture teams, helping to root-cause functional failures and performance issues throughout the product development cycle. You will also improve validation coverage and sign-off processes to ensure high-quality tapeout and production deployment. Your contributions will directly impact the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide.
