Who you are
You are a motivated individual with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment. You possess a positive attitude and are enthusiastic about taking on challenges. Your ability to work well with others and communicate effectively makes you a valuable team member. You are comfortable handling physical tasks and can lift up to 49 pounds. You are adaptable and can work a fluid schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable
While not required, having a general working knowledge of basic web-based software applications, such as Google G-Suite, is a plus. You are willing to learn and grow within the role, and you have a keen interest in the retail industry.
What you'll do
As an Operations Associate at Gopuff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site. Your responsibilities will include picking and packing items for dispatch to customers, receiving and unpacking pallets of products from vendors, and ensuring that the physical inventory count matches purchase orders. You will manage inventory and re-shelving of canceled orders, clean and organize the sales floor, and manage waste and spoilage through strict compliance with FIFO practices. You will also be responsible for contacting customers regarding substituted or out-of-stock items and handling products that may contain tobacco, nicotine, or alcohol. Your role will require you to stand, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and walk during shifts, and you will use carts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment to move products efficiently.
