You are an enthusiastic individual ready to take on the challenges of an Operations Associate role at Gopuff. Your ability to work well under pressure and your attention to detail make you an ideal candidate for this position. You are comfortable with physical tasks and can lift up to 49 pounds, ensuring that you can handle the demands of the job effectively. You are also flexible with your schedule, willing to work during peak shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable
While not required, having a general working knowledge of basic web-based software applications, such as Google G-Suite, will be beneficial in this role. Your willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies will help you succeed in managing operations efficiently.
What you'll do
As an Operations Associate at Gopuff, you will play a crucial role in the operations team by picking and packing items for dispatch to customers. You will receive and unpack pallets of products from vendors, ensuring that the physical inventory count matches the purchase order and resolving any discrepancies. Managing inventory and re-shelving canceled orders will be part of your daily responsibilities, along with cleaning and organizing the sales floor and overall facility. You will also manage waste and spoilage through strict compliance with FIFO practices, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently.
In this role, you will contact customers regarding substituted or out-of-stock items, ensuring that they are informed and satisfied with their orders. You will handle, scan, and move products in a safe and organized manner, utilizing equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, and dollies. Your ability to stand, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and walk during shifts will be essential to your success in this physically demanding position. You may also work in freezer locations periodically throughout your shifts, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to the role.
