You are an enthusiastic individual ready to take on the challenges of an Operations Associate role at Gopuff. You are comfortable working with various tools and equipment, and you understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You are also capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and standing for extended periods during your shifts.
You have a general working knowledge of basic web-based software applications, which helps you manage tasks efficiently. You are flexible with your schedule and can work during peak shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Your ability to adapt to changing circumstances is a key asset in this role.
What you'll do
As an Operations Associate at Gopuff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers receive their everyday essentials promptly. Your primary responsibilities will include picking and packing items for dispatch to customers, receiving and unpacking pallets of products from vendors, and managing inventory. You will ensure that the physical inventory count matches purchase orders and invoices, resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
You will also be responsible for cleaning and organizing the sales floor and overall facility, managing waste and spoilage through strict compliance with FIFO practices. Your role will require you to contact customers regarding substituted or out-of-stock items, ensuring that they are informed and satisfied with their orders. You will handle, scan, and move products safely and efficiently, using carts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment as necessary.
In addition to these tasks, you may work in freezer locations periodically throughout your shifts, requiring you to adapt to different working conditions. Your ability to walk several flights of steps during the day will also be essential in this physically demanding role.
