Job Description

We believe conversations will become the #1 way to shop.

At Gorgias, we’re building the platform that makes this real: a unified AI agent that sells, supports, and re-engages customers across the entire journey. Conversational Commerce is the future of ecommerce, and we’re leading that shift.

Our mission is to turn every interaction between a brand and its customers into a relationship: personal, seamless, and intelligent. By combining deep product expertise with the latest in AI, we’re making shopping feel more natural, human, and connected than ever before.

To win, we focus relentlessly on:

  • Quality: conversations that feel authentic and on-brand.

  • Experience: effortless shopping from chat to checkout.

  • Re-engagement: personal, 1-1 dialogue instead of noisy marketing.

The opportunity is massive. As AI reshapes how people buy, Gorgias is building the foundation for the next decade of ecommerce, where every brand has its own intelligent agent and every customer feels understood.

Join us to make Conversational Commerce real.

Why this role matters

At Gorgias, we’ve built a revenue operations engine that powers how we identify, engage, and convert customers at scale. It’s a fusion of data engineering, automation, and applied AI that turns raw data into actionable insights for our go-to-market teams.
We’re looking for a Growth Analytics Engineer to join our Operations Intelligence squad and help us build smart, scalable systems that drive revenue growth. You’ll extract and enrich data, build internal apps, integrate AI workflows, and solve real-world problems across sales, marketing, and customer success.
This is a great opportunity for someone who’s technically capable, business-minded, and excited to move fast in a lean team that values curiosity, collaboration, and experimentation.

The Team You’ll Join

The Growth Operations team at Gorgias is split into two squads:

  • Growth Intelligence: Focused on experiments, GTM execution, messaging, and growth insights (you’ll collaborate with Alessandro and Angelo).

  • Operations Intelligence: Builds and maintains the infrastructure, workflows, and automations that drive lead generation, enrichment, segmentation, and outreach (you’ll work with Guillaume, Jose, and Jade).

We partner closely with sales, customer success, marketing, and product teams to enable self-service tools, enrich company and contact data, and activate high-intent leads across multiple channels.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Enrichment at Scale: Extract company and contact data from APIs (e.g., Shopify, Apollo) and custom scripts, clean it via automated SQL workflows, and enrich it using LLMs and heuristics to power segmentation and personalisation.

  • Data Pipelines: Maintain and improve ETL processes to ensure data quality, freshness, and reliability across Gorgias’ growth systems.

  • Internal Tooling & App Deployment: Build and deploy internal apps and workflows (in Retool or custom code) to help sales, marketing, and customer success teams autonomously launch experiments, enrol contacts, and activate data. Develop and maintain internal micro-apps (“vibe coding”) that empower GTM teams to self-serve and operate efficiently.

  • AI & Workflow Automation: Integrate LLMs to extract metadata (e.g., industry, persona, job function) from unstructured sources like website descriptions and job titles.

  • Signal-Based Targeting: Detect and surface high-intent buying signals, such as new hires, tech stack changes, or CX job postings, and route them into outbound engines for sales and marketing activation.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with sales, customer success, marketing, and product teams to translate go-to-market (GTM) strategies into robust data and automation systems.

Projects you might work on

  • Build an AI persona classifier that groups contacts into CX-relevant roles for smarter segmentation across sales and marketing.

  • Deploy AI SDRs handling replies at scale.

  • Create a copywriter engine that generates personalized outreach content in real time based on lead attributes for sales sequences.

  • Develop a signal aggregator that consolidates job posts, tech installs, and engagement data into actionable alerts for revenue teams.

Enhance and expand our internal GTM app ecosystem: improve the internal activation app to make it easier for non-technical teams to trigger enrichments, enrolments, and sequences - and launch a suite of “vibe-coded” internal apps that unify data activation, automation, and experiment control under one intuitive interface. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, ops, and marketing to ensure these tools align with real GTM workflows and priorities.

Our Stack

  • Data ingestion: Airbyte, Segment, Fivetran

  • Warehouse: BigQuery

  • Transformations: dbt

  • Internal tools: Retool or Custom

  • Activation: Hightouch, Segment, Cargo

  • Outreach: Instantly.ai, Lemlist

  • Cloud: GCP (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, PubSub, Compute Engine)

  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab

  • Development: Claude Code

Who We’re Looking For

We’re not looking for a deep specialist. We’re looking for a scrappy, curious generalist who can connect systems, work with data, and solve business problems with a product mindset.

You might be a strong fit if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or automation in a startup or growth-focused team.

  • Are proficient in SQL (non-negotiable), have deployed AI systems at scale, and know your way around Python or JavaScript.

  • Are comfortable working with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integrating data from external services.

  • Enjoy building small internal tools and workflows, especially in low-code platforms like Retool or with scripting.

  • Have a business-first mindset: you care about driving revenue, not just shipping code.

  • Can think holistically: you can go from extracting raw data → cleaning/enriching it → using it to trigger actions or insights.

  • Are a good teammate: humble, collaborative, and not afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions.

Why You’ll Thrive at Gorgias

  • Work directly with product-minded operators and data engineers across sales, marketing, and customer success on impactful projects.

  • Join a small, empowered team where your ideas and code ship fast.

  • Learn new technologies, systems, and business models as we scale to $100M+ ARR.

  • Be part of a culture that values experimentation, iteration, and humility.

  • Enjoy flexibility to work remotely from Lisbon (preferred), Paris, Belgrade, or Toronto.

AI at Gorgias
At Gorgias, AI is a natural extension of how we work and build. Our teams use it every day to research, write, analyze, code, and craft better customer experiences. Everyone has access to premium AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Granola & others) and an annual L&D budget to explore new ones.

The real magic happens when we share what we learn. Our #powerup Slack channel is a digital petri dish of new tools and workflows, and each team has AI champions who showcase fresh ideas during weekly company-wide standups, now practically AI demo sessions.

We see AI not as a replacement for creativity or empathy, but as a multiplier, helping us move faster, think deeper, and serve customers better.
