Who you are

You have 4-6 years of experience with conveyor systems, kitchen equipment, automation, robotics, and refrigeration repair and maintenance — your background includes both mechanical and electrical operations, allowing you to troubleshoot effectively across various systems. You are a natural leader, capable of mentoring lower-level technicians and guiding them in developing their skills and knowledge of equipment. Your commitment to safety and compliance ensures that all maintenance activities adhere to established standards, fostering a secure work environment.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and can perform root cause analysis of major downtime events — your analytical mindset helps you identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions. You are comfortable documenting all work in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and ticketing systems, ensuring that all maintenance activities are tracked and managed efficiently. Your experience in inventory management and minor project management allows you to assist managers in streamlining operations and improving overall efficiency.

What you'll do

As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will assist maintenance management in coordinating and leading work with the maintenance team to maintain and repair conveyance and facilities equipment — your role is crucial in supporting operations uptime and improving the reliability of our systems. You will perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment as needed. When equipment is out of service, you will troubleshoot and correct issues, acting as an escalation point for lower-level technicians and escalating to leadership or vendors as necessary for additional troubleshooting.

You will lead and educate compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards, ensuring that the maintenance team operates within the guidelines. Mentoring maintenance personnel will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you help them develop appropriate skill sets and knowledge of equipment. You will also perform administrative functions, including inventory management, assigning work, and minor project management as assigned. In the absence of the maintenance leader, you will act as the maintenance point of contact, ensuring that operations continue smoothly.
