Who you are
You have a proven track record in enterprise software sales, ideally with experience in open source technologies and APIs. Your ability to build and leverage relationships has been key to your success in previous roles, and you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you can contribute to the growth of early-stage products. You understand the complexities of selling into global enterprise accounts and are comfortable navigating the buying criteria and processes of large organizations.
You are driven by a desire to see customers benefit from their investments, and you take ownership of your book of business. Your analytical skills allow you to document and understand customer needs, ensuring that you can effectively guide them through the pre- and post-sales processes. You are also willing to travel to customer sites as required, demonstrating your commitment to building strong relationships.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for Kong's prospects, responsible for selling the Kong Enterprise Platform to enterprise customers. You will meet individual quotas and objectives while taking ownership of your accounts. Your responsibilities will include understanding and documenting the buying criteria and process, ensuring pipeline accuracy, and working leads to closure. You will provide account leadership and direction throughout the sales process, contributing to analyses of wins and losses to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that the solutions provided align with their business objectives. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping the sales strategy and driving the growth plan for Kong. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior sales team members, sharing your expertise and helping them develop their skills in enterprise sales.
