Overview

MediaLab is seeking a Music Partnerships & Development Lead to expand relationships within the digital music ecosystem. You'll work closely with product teams and the Chief Revenue Officer to drive revenue and maximize impact. This role is based in New York City.

Who you are

You have a strong background in business development, particularly within the music industry, and a proven track record of building and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders such as digital service providers, labels, and publishers. Your experience includes developing strategies that drive revenue and enhance product offerings in a competitive market. You are adept at navigating the intersection of music, technology, and data, and you understand the nuances of the digital music landscape. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas to senior leadership. You are results-oriented and thrive in high-visibility roles where your contributions can significantly impact the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Music Partnerships & Development function at Genius, focusing on expanding relationships with existing partners and identifying new opportunities within the digital music ecosystem. You will work closely with product teams to bring new products to market, ensuring that Genius's music data monetization strategy is effectively implemented. Your responsibilities will include negotiating partnership agreements, collaborating with the Chief Revenue Officer to drive revenue growth, and maximizing Genius's impact across the industry. You will also be instrumental in shaping the future direction of Genius as a leading platform for music and culture.
