Overview

Mintel is seeking a Senior Business Development Director to expand their client base in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector. You'll create consultative strategies to target new clients and deliver exceptional sales results. This role requires at least three years of experience in consultative solutions-based selling.

Who you are

You are a driven and motivated salesperson with at least three years of experience in consultative solutions-based selling. You have a proven track record of delivering return on investment and achieving sales targets, making you a trustworthy partner to the businesses you support. You possess excellent closing and prospecting skills and are comfortable making both cold and warm introductions. You are strategic and creative, always looking for ways to enhance client relationships and drive growth.

What you'll do

In this role, you will create a consultative strategy to target new clients within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, which includes beauty, food & beverage, and home & personal care. You will identify and prospect key decision-makers within marketing and research divisions to understand their specific consumer insights needs. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional sales results against net-new revenue targets on a quarterly basis. This will involve negotiating contracts with highly valued clients and traveling to meet them face-to-face, in addition to holding Zoom conversations to discuss the benefits and impact of Mintel’s data on their business.
