Who you are

You have a solid background in instrumentation engineering, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying software interfaces for hardware systems. Your technical expertise allows you to troubleshoot software-to-hardware integrations effectively, ensuring seamless data acquisition and automation. You thrive in environments that require adaptability and problem-solving skills, and you enjoy working directly with customers to optimize test and validation workflows. You are familiar with various environments, including test stands, clean rooms, and industrial setups, and you understand the complexities involved in integrating software with hardware.

You possess strong programming skills in languages such as C and Python, which you have used to interact with hardware components. Your experience with Embedded Linux and LabVIEW enhances your ability to develop robust solutions for complex engineering challenges. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for precision, which is essential in the field of instrumentation engineering. You are also a collaborative team player, eager to contribute to a fast-moving team that tackles challenges at the intersection of hardware and software.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for integrating Nominal's Connect platform with real-world test environments, ensuring that the software interfaces you develop meet the needs of various hardware systems. You will work closely with engineers and operators to understand the requirements of different projects and develop solutions that enhance the efficiency of test and validation workflows. Your hands-on approach will involve writing code that interacts with flight computers and control systems, allowing for effective data acquisition and automation.

You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software-to-hardware integrations, ensuring that all systems function seamlessly together. Your ability to adapt to different environments will be crucial as you work in test stands, clean rooms, and industrial setups. You will also engage with customers to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve the performance of the systems you develop. Your contributions will play a critical role in enabling hardware engineers to push the boundaries of advanced technology with speed, safety, and precision.
