Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in site reliability engineering, with at least 5 years of experience managing production systems and incident response. You thrive in complex environments and have a proven track record of improving system reliability and performance through smart infrastructure design. Your expertise in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes allows you to create scalable and efficient systems that meet the demands of high-rate telemetry and real-time software validation.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can work collaboratively across disciplines, ensuring that both hardware and software components function seamlessly together. Your experience in incident management has equipped you with the ability to respond swiftly to production issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing system resilience. You are comfortable with Linux environments and have a deep understanding of distributed systems architecture.
Desirable
Experience with telemetry systems and real-time data processing is a plus. Familiarity with safety-critical systems, especially in aerospace or defense sectors, will set you apart. You are also encouraged to bring your knowledge of best practices in software development and deployment processes to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take on a high-leverage position focused on enhancing the reliability and performance of Nominal's distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with software engineers to design and implement CI/CD pipelines that streamline the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, conducting incident response drills, and developing strategies to improve system uptime and reliability.
You will also be involved in capacity planning and resource allocation, ensuring that the infrastructure can handle the demands of our advanced hardware systems.
