Overview
OneOncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join their Tennessee Oncology team in Nashville, TN. Job Description
Who you are
You are an Advanced Practice Provider with 1-2+ years of experience, ideally in a hematology/oncology setting. You possess strong clinical assessment skills and are adept at acute care management, ensuring patient stabilization in complex inpatient cases. Your ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians, APPs, RNs, and hospital staff is essential for success in this role.
You have a background in managing complex inpatient cases and are familiar with the nuances of hematologic and oncologic diagnoses. Your experience allows you to address complications of malignancies, treatment side effects, and palliative care needs effectively. You are certified as an NP-C or PA-C and are committed to providing high-quality patient care.
What you'll do
In this role, you will provide night coverage at the Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Blood Cancer inpatient unit in Nashville, TN. You will receive handoff from the daytime APP team to ensure continuity of care and support inpatient RNs. Your responsibilities will include admitting after-hours patients with the assistance of the hospitalist team and monitoring labs throughout the night to ensure patient stability until the daytime team resumes care.
You will care for hospitalized patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses, addressing their complications and treatment side effects. Your role is crucial in maintaining the quality of care during night shifts, and you will be part of Tennessee Oncologyβs flagship Hematologic Malignancy program, which is actively expanding to meet increased patient needs.
