Who you are
You are an experienced Advanced Practice Provider with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally in hematology or oncology. You have a strong background in hospitalist care, having worked as an RN or APP, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Your hands-on approach to patient management allows you to provide thoughtful and effective care to patients with complex hematologic needs.
You are passionate about working in an inpatient setting and enjoy the challenges that come with caring for patients in a hospital environment. Your ability to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals makes you a valuable asset to any team. You are committed to ongoing professional development and are eager to stay updated on the latest advancements in hematology and oncology.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for seeing patients in the hospital setting, focusing primarily on hematology cases. You will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications as appropriate. You will also play a key role in educating patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.
You will be part of a dedicated inpatient hospitalist team, where your clinical experience and patient management skills will be highly valued. You will have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to discussions about patient care strategies. Your role will also involve documenting patient progress and ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
