Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in corporate security operations, ideally with experience in managing physical security programs in a tech environment. You understand the importance of balancing risk management with a service-oriented approach, ensuring that employees feel safe and secure while they work. Your calm demeanor and professionalism make you an effective point of contact for security matters, and you excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement security controls that are both effective and employee-friendly.
You are adept at managing security vendors and overseeing contract guard forces, ensuring that performance metrics and service level agreements are met. Your experience includes operationalizing security programs that cover access control, visitor management, and incident response, all while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and trust within the organization. You are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance security measures in a discreet manner.
What you'll do
As the Corporate Security Operations Manager in Tokyo, you will lead the day-to-day security operations for the office, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all employees. You will operationalize the physical security program, which includes managing access control systems, visitor management processes, and incident response protocols. Your role will involve close collaboration with various departments, including HR, IT, and Facilities, to implement sensible security measures that prioritize employee comfort and safety.
You will be responsible for managing relationships with security vendors and ensuring that the contract guard force meets performance expectations. This includes setting post orders, monitoring coverage, and conducting regular reviews of key performance indicators. You will also lead local incident response efforts, documenting incidents, conducting after-action reviews, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
In addition to your primary responsibilities in Tokyo, you may be required to travel to Seoul and other locations to support corporate security initiatives. Your ability to communicate effectively and build trust with employees and external stakeholders will be crucial in this role, as you work to create a culture of safety and security within the organization.
