Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the public sector, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with selling to government entities. Your experience includes leading sales efforts, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic territory planning. You are adept at identifying prospects and generating leads, ensuring a robust sales pipeline.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to negotiate contracts and close deals is complemented by a strong understanding of ERP solutions and their impact on public sector efficiency. You thrive in a performance-based culture and are motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
What you'll do
As an Account Executive II at OpenGov, you will lead all sales efforts within your assigned territory for a defined OpenGov Product Suite. This includes territory planning, prospect identification, and lead generation. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through to contract negotiation and deal closure. Your focus will be on OpenGov's ERP strategy, particularly in Financial Management software, while also expanding conversations into the broader OpenGov offerings.
You will collaborate closely with the pre-sales team to ensure that customer needs are met and that solutions are tailored to their specific requirements. Your role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. You will also be responsible for tracking sales metrics and reporting on your progress to management, contributing to the overall sales strategy of the organization.
