You have a strong background in B2B field sales, with experience in cold calling and lead generation — you've successfully identified and engaged potential clients, leveraging your network to drive sales. Your communication and negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively convey the value of Paytm's offerings to merchants. You understand technology and user experience, which helps you articulate how Paytm's solutions can simplify business operations for your clients.

You are willing to experiment and continuously improve your approach to sales — you thrive in dynamic environments where you can adapt strategies based on market feedback. Your ability to minimize risks associated with fraud and chargebacks demonstrates your commitment to quality and integrity in merchant onboarding. You are a brand ambassador for Paytm, embodying the company's values of staying hungry, humble, and relevant.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales of Paytm's devices among merchants in your designated area — this involves physically visiting micro markets to identify and sell to high-quality merchants. You will adhere to risk guidelines and ensure that the onboarding process for new merchants is thorough and secure. Engaging with various business and technology teams within Paytm, you will work to identify and resolve common bottlenecks, particularly on the technology front.

You will actively seek references from converted clients to expand your network and drive further sales opportunities. Your role will require you to stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, allowing you to position Paytm's offerings effectively. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the product and technology teams based on your interactions with merchants, helping to shape future enhancements to Paytm's services.
