Overview

Samsara is seeking a Mid Market Account Executive to drive sales in the DACH region. You'll engage with mid-sized customers to promote IoT solutions and manage technical POCs. This role requires strong sales skills and the ability to navigate complex negotiations.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the technology sector, and are comfortable engaging with mid-sized customers. Your experience includes managing complex sales processes, from initial contact through to closing deals, and you thrive in environments where you can build relationships with multiple stakeholders. You understand the importance of technical proof of concepts and can effectively communicate the value of IoT solutions to executives and CXOs. You are adaptable and willing to travel within the DACH region to meet clients, ensuring that you maintain strong connections and understand their needs.

Desirable

Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) space is a plus, as is familiarity with industries such as agriculture, construction, and transportation. You are data-driven and can leverage insights to inform your sales strategies. A background in technical sales or account management will help you excel in this role, as will your ability to negotiate pricing and manage trials effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the mid-market segment across the DACH region. You will engage with potential customers to understand their operational challenges and demonstrate how Samsara's IoT solutions can provide actionable insights to improve their operations. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $150k, requiring you to manage technical proof of concepts and navigate complex pricing negotiations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that solutions are tailored to their specific requirements. Regular client visits will be necessary, typically on a fortnightly basis, to maintain relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the product team based on customer interactions, helping to shape future offerings.
