Who you are
You have 5-15 years of relevant experience in Sales, Business Development, and relationship building — you understand the nuances of managing a sales team and driving performance in a competitive market. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with key client personnel is second nature, and you thrive in environments where networking is essential. You are willing to travel extensively throughout your specified areas to ensure your team meets its sales targets. You possess strong leadership qualities that enable you to train and groom field sales executives effectively, ensuring they are motivated and guided to perform better.
You have a proven track record of managing sales in a specific geographic area, maximizing sales targets, and meeting corporate objectives. You are adept at ensuring that your team is present in the market regularly, facilitating sales and usage. Your experience in hiring and training new field sales executives is complemented by your ability to control attrition and maintain a motivated team.
Desirable
Experience in the financial services or mobile payments industry would be a plus, as would familiarity with merchant cash advance sales. You are data-driven and can analyze sales performance metrics to inform your strategies. Your networking capabilities and willingness to engage with clients directly set you apart from others in your field.
What you'll do
As the Sales Team Lead at Paytm, you will be responsible for overseeing the MCA Sales in Hyderabad. You will manage an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales targets and ensure that corporate objectives are met. Building and maintaining relationships with key client personnel will be a critical part of your role, as will managing category leads from qualification to closure. You will ensure that your team members are actively engaged in the market, driving sales and usage regularly.
You will be responsible for ensuring that monthly submissions and disbursal numbers are met, which will require you to monitor performance closely and provide guidance where necessary. Your role will also involve hiring new field sales executives, providing them with the training and support they need to succeed. You will play a key role in controlling attrition within your team, ensuring that they remain motivated and focused on achieving their targets.
