Who you are
You have a strong background in B2B field sales, with experience in cold calling, pre-sales, and lead generation. Your ability to identify and meet potential clients by growing and leveraging your network is a key asset. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, which help you effectively engage with merchants and resolve issues. You are also comfortable with technology and understand user experience, allowing you to effectively communicate the benefits of Paytm's offerings.
You are willing to experiment and continuously improve your approach to sales, adapting to the needs of the market and your clients. Your proactive nature drives you to minimize risks associated with fraud and chargebacks by ensuring high-quality merchant onboarding. You thrive in environments where you can be a brand ambassador for your company, embodying the values of staying hungry, humble, and relevant.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales of Paytm's devices among merchants in your specified area. This will involve physically moving into micro markets to identify and sell to high-quality merchants. You will adhere to risk guidelines and visit merchants to resolve any highlighted issues, ensuring a smooth onboarding process. Your role will also require you to engage with various business and technology teams within Paytm to identify and address common bottlenecks, particularly on the technology front.
You will seek references from converted clients to expand your network and drive sales further. As a Team Lead, you will not only focus on sales but also act as a mentor to your team, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them succeed. Your ability to communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams will be crucial in achieving your sales targets and contributing to the overall success of the EDC Retail team.
