What you'll do
In this role, you will provide technical support for software applications, investigating, diagnosing, and resolving application issues as they arise. You will automate start-of-day and end-of-day checks for key applications, logging and tracking incidents across the production environment. Your responsibilities will include implementing monitoring and automation initiatives, as well as developing custom solutions using your scripting skills. You will create tactical support tools and scripts that improve the incident investigation process, enabling transparency into potential business impacts.
You will prioritize and categorize incidents based on their severity and impact, collaborating closely with the development team to enhance applications based on user feedback. Additionally, you will assist with software application deployment and configuration, ensuring that users receive the necessary training and assistance to use applications effectively. Your role will also involve developing knowledge base resources to empower users to independently resolve common issues.
