Rackspace is hiring a Solutions Architect to provide pre-sales and consulting services tailored to customer needs. You'll work closely with sales teams to design solutions that deliver strategic business value. This role requires experience in managed or professional services engagements.

Who you are

You are an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong background in pre-sales and solution design. You have a proven track record of gathering business and technical requirements to create tailored solutions that meet customer objectives. Your ability to lead customer workshops for requirements gathering and solution mapping sets you apart as a Subject Matter Expert in your technology area. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside sales colleagues to deliver strategic business value through outcome-oriented services and solutions.

You possess a deep understanding of complex solutioning, particularly in scenarios that involve multiple clouds, managed services, and hosting. Your experience in Managed or Professional Services engagements is highly beneficial, allowing you to navigate the intricacies of customer needs effectively. You are comfortable attending trade shows and conferences, presenting the “Why Rackspace?” message to potential clients and partners.

What you'll do

As a Solutions Architect at Rackspace, you will be a key member of the EMEA Solutions team, responsible for providing specialist pre-sales and consulting services. You will collaborate with sales teams to design solutions that address complex customer requirements, ensuring that they align with strategic business goals. Your role will involve leading the service and solution ownership of designs, which may include tactical solutions as part of a broader strategic plan.

You will engage in the sales lifecycle, working as part of a pursuit team to create solutions that assist customers in their technology and transformation initiatives. Your ability to manage time-sensitive proofs of concept (POC) or proofs of value (POV) will be crucial in demonstrating the effectiveness of proposed solutions. You will partner with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions on time, within specifications, and on budget, ensuring customer satisfaction and success.
