Overview

Roofstock is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations & Billings to lead the company's revenue cycle and billing operations. You'll drive process automation and manage a team while ensuring efficient operations across multiple business units. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in revenue operations, with extensive experience in managing billing processes and revenue cycles. Your leadership style is hands-on, and you thrive in a collaborative environment, guiding your team while also being deeply involved in the operational details. You are skilled at automating processes and improving efficiency, particularly in areas that currently rely on complex spreadsheets. Your analytical mindset allows you to perform detailed calculations and flux analysis, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.

You understand the importance of cross-functional collaboration and can effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including finance, sales, and operations teams. Your ability to mentor and develop team members is a key strength, as you believe in fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges that come with a rapidly growing organization, ensuring that your team is equipped to handle the evolving demands of the business.

Desirable

Experience in the real estate or investment sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with financial software and tools that enhance operational efficiency. You are comfortable with data analysis and can leverage insights to drive strategic decisions. A background in process improvement methodologies will further enhance your ability to lead initiatives that streamline operations and reduce costs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of the revenue operations and billing processes for Roofstock's multiple business units. You will lead a team of four, providing guidance and support while also engaging in the day-to-day operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the revenue cycle, from invoicing to collections. You will champion process automation initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.

You will collaborate closely with other departments to align revenue operations with overall business objectives. This includes working with finance to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, as well as partnering with sales to optimize the billing process for customer satisfaction. Your analytical skills will be crucial in conducting flux analysis and providing insights that inform strategic decisions.

As a player-coach, you will not only lead your team but also actively participate in complex calculations and reporting tasks. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness of revenue operations. Your insights will help shape the direction of the team and the organization as a whole.
