You have a strong background in composite materials and structural design, with experience in developing lightweight, high-performance structures that meet stringent performance and survivability requirements. Your expertise in design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks allows you to create innovative solutions tailored for maritime environments. You understand the complexities of integrating composite materials into existing systems and are adept at analyzing their performance under various conditions.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all designs not only meet but exceed industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, enables you to effectively communicate design concepts and modifications. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in composite materials and design techniques.

What you'll do

As a Composite Design Engineer at Saronic, you will lead the structural design and analysis of composite materials for our maritime platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and optimize composite structures that are lightweight yet robust, ensuring they meet mission-critical Department of Defense performance requirements. You will work closely with other engineers to integrate these materials into our existing systems, conducting thorough analyses to validate their performance in maritime environments.

You will also be responsible for creating detailed design documentation and specifications, ensuring that all designs are compliant with industry standards and regulations. Collaborating with the production team, you will oversee the manufacturing process of composite components, providing guidance and support to ensure quality and efficiency. Your role will involve conducting tests and evaluations to assess the durability and performance of composite structures, making necessary adjustments based on findings.
